About This Event
This on-demand course examines the appropriate prescription of opioid analgesics for chronic pain management while addressing the impact of culture, race, and ethnicity on pain experiences and treatment. It focuses on reducing barriers to pain relief for vulnerable populations, including children, the elderly, racial and ethnic minorities, veterans, and patients with cancer, HIV, or sickle cell disease, with particular emphasis on pain undertreatment in African American patients.
