New Vistas in Lipid Therapy - LDL and Beyond
Hosted by Pri-Med Institute
Mar 4, 2026 – Jun 2, 2026 Online / Virtual
About This Event
Lipid management is a central target for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) prevention. There is overwhelming evidence from genetic, observational, and interventional studies that LDL is causally related to ASCVD pathogenesis and thus LDL-C is the primary treatment target across primary and secondary prevention guidelines. However, even when LDL-C is controlled, there can be residual ASCVD risk stemming from elevated levels of other atherogenic apo-B containing lipoproteins, notably lipoprotein (a) and the triglyceride-rich remnant cholesterol. This presentation will discuss new and emerging treatments in lipid therapy on the "vista" beyond LDL-C addressing Lp(a) and severe hypertriglyceridemia.
