This self-paced course provides an overview of the legal standards and requirements of the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules. All employees with access to protected health information (PHI) must receive HIPAA training, and this course covers the Administrative Simplification provisions, national standards for electronic health care transactions, privacy protections for individually identifiable health information, and enforcement mechanisms.
