Hiding in Plain Sight: Treatment Considerations for Males with Eating Disorders

This continuing education workshop focuses on understanding and treating eating disorders in males, a population often underserved in treatment settings. The presentation covers how eating disorders present differently in males versus females, identifies high-risk male subgroups including athletes and LGBTQ males, and addresses barriers to treatment and biases in current assessment tools and therapeutic approaches.
