About This Event
A growing number of Americans are suffering from acute and chronic digestive disorders, many with inconclusive diagnoses and inadequate treatment. These Pri-Med courses can help you have a central role in the early detection and management of these problems. Chronic gastrointestinal disorders are a source of substantial morbidity, mortality, and cost. They are commonly seen in primary care practice, and PCPs have a central role in the early detection and management of these problems. Pri-Med provides education on Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), Inflammatory bowel disease and chronic idiopathic constipation, Managing Hepatitis C infection, Gastroesophageal reflux and the risk of long-term proton pump inhibitors, Gastrointestinal infections such as Helicobacter Pylori and Clostridioides difficile, and Gluten-induced neurocognitive impairment.
