About This Event
Are you a primary care clinician who treats patients with obesity and wants to improve your ability to discuss weight loss in a nonjudgmental, patient-centered manner? Sign up for this exclusive motivational interviewing workshop in which you will convene with other primary care clinicians to review the core tenets of motivational interviewing and hone your communication skills. This 90-minute workshop will open with two experienced faculty moderators discussing and demonstrating optimal motivational interviewing strategies. Then, the faculty will divide learners into breakout groups for a series of role-playing exercises to practice and refine these new skills. At the conclusion of this workshop, you will have an opportunity to give and receive feedback from your peers and, finally, discuss any remaining challenges and ask any outstanding questions.
