Assessing and Treating the Pale Goat

This self-paced veterinary education course focuses on the accurate assessment and treatment of anemia in small ruminants, particularly goats. Participants will learn diagnostic techniques including PCV/TP testing and FAMACHA scoring, how to differentiate between hemolysis and whole blood loss, and treatment approaches including whole blood transfusion and addressing underlying causes such as GI parasitism, trauma, and plant toxicities.
