Accounting for Debt-Funded Capital Assets

This course provides accounting and financial reporting professionals with practical guidance on recording journal entries for capital assets funded through long-term debt. Participants will learn the differences between governmental fund and governmental activities reporting, proper capital asset valuation and depreciation methods, and step-through journal entries for acquiring, funding, and selling capital assets using a provided Excel workbook.
